Tiger entered the Turkey market in 2025 to provide cargo carrying units (CCU) to the region.
Turkey has significantly expanded its offshore oil and gas exploration in recent years, particularly in the Black Sea and Eastern Mediterranean. The country has invested in its own fleet of drilling and seismic vessels, including ships such as the Fatih, Yavuz, and Kanuni, allowing it to conduct exploration independently. A major breakthrough came with the discovery of the Sakarya Gas Field in 2020, which is considered the largest natural gas discovery in Turkey’s history. Development of this field is expected to significantly reduce Turkey’s reliance on imported energy. These efforts are part of a broader national strategy to strengthen energy security and increase domestic production.
